Arc System Works Reveals New Characters For Two Switch Fighters

One is DLC, the other is a main roster addition

As part of this weekend's Anime Expo 2024 celebrations, Arc System Works shared two fighting game announcements.

First up was the reveal of Uzuki for Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes. This character will arrive as a DLC fighter in August. This "dramatic stylish 2D fighting game" arrived on the Nintendo Switch earlier this year with 1-2 players locally and 1-9 players online.

"The witness of all deaths, the Black Monger who lurks in the night" joins the battle under the dark veil! Trial available in EVO2024!"

Next up we have another character reveal for the upcoming 2D fighting game Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, due out at some point in 2024. This time it's Chrollo! Here's a bit about his style via the official game website:

"An aggressive-type character with rich attack moves. With “Indoor Fish [Swimming]”, he is able to attack both by himself or with his allies. He has great support capabilities and can rally the team to victory!."

Chrollo will be joined by Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, Hisoka, Netero, Bisky, Machi and Uvogin.

Wow! Uzuki's fighting style looks really cool! Also, it's interesting to know that those J.J. and Tempest are her familiars. Some spirits, I guess.

The extent of my knowledge of Under Night In-Birth is knowing it as that fourth thing in Cross Tag Battle but I do really like Uzuki's design.

I want to get Under Night in Birth II but I'm waiting for a discount. It doesn't help that the fighting community kills these games by saying they aren't worth it because they have few players... because you know, that's exactly what those games need: people constantly going out of their way to scare potential new players that could actually make a big and active enough player base and promoting the big games that really don't need it over and over.

Such a good fighting series this. Up there with the best on the system of it's genre.

I wish I could keep up with arc system games, so many cool fighting games but never enough time to play, get good and play online. By the time I'm ready, there isn't a community for me to play against!
