Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Monster Hunter Stories For Switch?

I love this game on 3DS, but now that they have confirmed Switch won't have the Zelda or Puzzle & Dragons content, I'll go with Steam for the performance boost.

I might get this but it's gonna be later down the road as there are other games I want since my birthday is next week & I'm trying to get Paper Mario: TYD...if I can.

So it's not really me not wanting to get it rather just for the sake of priorities. Plus, I do have the intention to get the MH Stories 2 as well. Just only the standalone physical release.

Were you afraid of a “getting it on PS5” option being too popular?

I have the 3DS version already, and that is good enough for me.

The new version doesn't do enough new to justify a double dip. And honestly? The relatively chill pace of the game feels more at-home on the 3DS.

I played it on the 3DS and didn't quite like it. I'll pass. This month is going to be for SMTV: Vengeance.

I like Stories better than the mainline games, but that isn't saying much as I dislike those.

I liked it well enough on DS, but my son played it way more than I did. He's more into Pokemon, so this will be a no for us, I think.

Having already played this and not the sequel I’m planning to get the bundle on PlayStation when it goes on sale! I really enjoyed the first game so I’m sure he sequel is going to be just as if not more enjoyable i definitely recommend this game if you enjoy rpg and monster hunter.

I've tried monster Hunter a few times and always end up trading it in. Not cup of tea unfortunately, but am grateful they are setting the trend for porting 3DS games. Lots of good one sin that library.

Played this to death on the 3DS so won’t be double dipping. Solid recommendation for anyone who hasn’t played it yet.

@obijuankanoobie Stories is a very different game. Cuter look, obviously, but it is way more like Pokemon, so really not comparable to the mainline games.

Definitely going to get it, but seeing as it's Capcom we're talking about, playing the waiting game and waiting for a hefty discount is the better strategy for my pocket book.

I already have it pre-ordered. I'm very happy to be able to play it again with the updates that weren't localized on the 3DS version.

Actually I want to get the PS4 version for better performance (60 fps as possible on PS5) but I really hope Capcom will provide the second game in disc separatedly like their Megaman Collection on PS4 for Asia version.

@Broosh It's a beaten dead horse. They releasing on multiple platforms now and everyone knows Nintendo's aversion of seeing any of their IP's on other platforms. That is why the Zelda content is missing.
Though they could have probably added it to the Switch version only.

Tried MH3 on Wii, MH3U on Wii U and the MHS demo on 3DS. Came to the conclusion this series just isn’t for me.

I've been sort of curious about Stories despite having no interest in the main series but it's definitely not going to be a launch thing, maybe on sale.

Had it preordered, my PS4 copy of Collections arrived earlier today.

I doubt that, outside of the core obsessives, people do not really care, it's just another franchise to them, plus the PS5 sales seem to have stalled a little, the console might struggle to get to PS4 numbers.

Plus, wetting the game on Playstation is in the options, pretty sure that includes the PS5.

I picked up the sequel a long while back. Meh. It was fun at first but part of the game really, really annoyed me, especially the cat (forgot his name). He's basically your proxy for not having a voice in the game, but his personality was so, so grating. There were some other aspects that I just didn't like, but I think the cat was the worst. I enjoyed the art direction though. Although the soundtrack wasn't anything memorable.

I am waiting for the european physical copy. I have no info on that so I am not buying the asian version (yet).

I only played the demo on 3ds, so I've preorder the game from amazon japan because I want the physical version so my son could play it too on his switch.

Literally just got to a point in the fight against my backlog that allows me to play my 3DS copy.

@johnvboy It's niche gaming syndrome again...we all have PCs, fat gaming rigs and every console under the sun plus huge preserved physical libraries as well.

I already played both games and don't think either is worth replaying. They're...fine. Beyond generic outside of the monster hunter stuff and if they make a third that's a hard pass from a huge monster hunter fan.

Still have the mobile version on Android and I don't feel like I'd ever finish this game. It's good, but not remarkable enough to keep my attention.I prefer the standard MH games, like Rise.

I actually played the 3DS version for the first time not too long ago, and while I loved it, I'm not really feeling the need to play it again so soon.

I might be convinced to get it on sale at some point later, though. Capcom games usually get some nice discounts after some time, so I'm not in a hurry.

Looks like, with the Princess Peach game, it's really for younger gamers, so I'll pass.

I still feel it would only be the core that wanted the PS5 version, most Switch owners would not even be aware there was a difference.
