Idk could just be me, but I think this is a great way to end the Switch, with the game they call the biggest Mario Party in history. I absolutely cannot wait for more trailers to see what else is in store for this game!
ngl, I was expecting a surprise DLC announcement for Superstars. A full new game that will hopefully combine the best elements of both Superstars and SMP sounds like a really good idea on paper. I hope chaacter specific dice returns.
@PikminMarioKirby Yeah it's like a modest swan-song!
I think that's what they were trying to do with The Top 100 on the 3DS but...I think we're for a much better experience this time XD
I'm hoping there's even more unannounced characters than Ninji. It only seems right to have Pauline in Mario Party now. Not sure about returning characters who haven't already been announced. If not more boards, there should still be some hope for unannounced characters since Ninji was just shown without a word.
I believe this game is estimated to be 6.5 GB for file size. Super Mario Party is about 2.9 GB and Mario Party Superstars also seems to be 2.9 GB. Jamboree is over double the file size (or bigger file size than both combined) if this estimate is correct.
@CaleBoi25 Honestly when I saw the name I thought it WAS DLC, but then the trailer was definitely showing a new game. Glad this isn’t DLC, very excited for this game!
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Super Mario RPG, and Mario & Luigi Brothership all on one console is LEGENDARY
@FishyS After that Switch Sports basketball update was announced in the Direct, it feels like Nintendo has plans for DLC/updates and then the game's sales decide whether they stay as DLC/updates or become a new game. Switch Sports was one of those games that just kept on selling.
@DjinnFighter It did sell very well, I was thinking more about distribution over time. Maybe it was in such a way that Nintendo decided it made more sense to use the old maps to bolster Jamboree. Biggest Mario Party yet wouldn't be a true statement if it only had 5 maps.
I know I'm in the Minority but I'm totally burnt out on the Mario Party series now. I've played it with my friends many times over the years, most of the time it was a bit of harmless fun but on occasions it actually almost turned quite nasty which I won't get into here but needless to say we weren't speaking to one another for a little while afterwards.
I won't be buying this game. I really don't think I'm missing out on what is essentially a board game where rolling the dice determines your next action. In other words it's nothing I haven't seen or heard before. Still though I hope everybody here enjoys it though.
