Earlier today Nintendo served up its Splatoon Direct broadcasts, which revealed quite a few intriguing details, including what is effectively the first ever timed Beta demo by Nintendo. Check you out, big N, welcome to the future!
We've written a host of news articles on the various details that emerged, but if you missed the videos you can catch up with them below. They're largely the same - in North America and Europe, in any case - albeit with different voice-overs, tweaked scripts and some minor differences in terms of Super Smash Bros. DLC and New Nintendo 3DS cover plates, for example.
So, in the interest of being helpful, below are the three regional videos, including the Japanese version if that's how you roll.
Did you enjoy these broadcasts? Share your thoughts, as always, in the comments.

All Color no Black!!
This game might just turn into the best thing ever.
"I'm geeking out too! I would know, because I'm a scientist!"
Glad I watched the US one! The US voice was really enjoying himself and made it much entertaining. The UK one sounds like he is just reading a script and has that boring British documentary voice.
May have to watch the UK version to compare. I thought the US direct was silly and fun with a lot of odd. Gonna see if i can manage the test demo but the times are really odd for the eastern time zone
I gotta admit- I am REALLY excited to play this after watching that Direct. They did an excellent job of showing just how fun the game is. All those weapon types look awesome, and the customization, the Amiibo challenges, the retro games between matches, the INCREDIBLE Portal meets Mario meets craziness singleplayer...
Ya, I'm in total hype-mode now.
Um yeahhh, I'll just wait for Devils Third.
What @XFsWorld said
I probably should have watched the UK version as I found the US announcer a bit too monotone. He wasn't bad, but I'm a big fan of the British scientist accent. There was a guy on here who did mockumenetaries for Pikmin 3, he was perfect. I think he did 1 for MK8 as when it released, but none since then. Maybe we get defrost him or something?
@JaxonH - I felt that way while I was watching the Direct as well. But then reality set in. I'm walking it off though.
Wow this game just looks amazing its like they combined 3 things:
Starfox assault, Super Mario Sunshine, and The World Ends with you (fashion aspect). Can't wait!
I didn't like the US one, the UK one had nice jokes throughout it.
@rjejr
I gotta agree on the narrator. I watched the EU version first and was like "whaaa?" on the US version. I think there are slight differences on some item localizations/names though which I find the US version way better/cooler.
This game has creativity bursting from every direction. I can't wait to get this! I'd better pre-order this soon.
It is so agnostic you can't even believe the grey of this game. I mean wow seriously wow another Disney thriller that people in both the White House and Prisons will be playing. I mean wow, just shazzzaaammmm-wow
Oh God the puns in the UK direct.
Callie and Marie....Calamari. I love you Nintendo.
The UK version bored me a little bit but then again I'm in the US so a little biased. I did like both voices though. They were great overall.
These Inklings are incredibly cute, can't help but adoring their design. Also, I can't be the only one immediately thinking of 'minions' from Despicable Me upon seeing the weapon shop owner...
Really looking forward to this one, as well as Devil's Third and Project Zero 5.
@JaxonH - Hey man, I lost the link to your last message regarding the Walmart squidling amiibo so this seem like a nice random spot for the reply.

One good thing about a game coming out on Friday, I have all week to decide after the Sunday newspaper flyers.
